MEMORABLE  JOURNEY

Seat  number 7. This is the seat on which I will have to sit for 2 hours of a tedious journey. Cigarette smoke rings, loquacious women plus babies crying was my present surrounding. Dad booked the seats at the last moment so we, unfortunately, got seats seven seas apart.

"Hello passengers," The conductor's voice was ice cold. "I assure you this will be a comically memorable journey". Weird, I thought.  Just as the train entered the tunnel; darkness and eeriness took over. Light returned, and what do I see... Ashes! EVERYONE is gone! "Ha, ha, ha," The conductors voice crackled. "A comically memorable journey indeed."

BISB 100 Word Challenge Ishika

Kate’s face was lit up by a huge smile. She had arrived in a paradise of tropical islands, with swaying palm trees and pure white beaches. It was quiet except for the soothing, rhythmic splash and slosh of the waves creeping into the rock pools. She grabbed her rucksack and stepped on to the pearly white sand. THUD! The peacefulness was broken by a loud noise faraway. The sand under Kate’s feet started disappearing and with a shrill cry she fell through a hole. “Stay here, don’t move or make noises” whispered a voice. She peered and saw gigantic footprints…..

BISB 100 Word Challenge Divij

An eighty foot monster was trying to crush me under his elephant sized feet on a patch of sand. I was helplessly moving in and out under these feet, like skyscrapers, that weren't about to give up on me. Then it came. A flash of a lightning, hand shape, hit my forehead and everything was a blur; my eyes started to close and I knew that this was the end of capturing that monster and finding out what it wanted… or so I thought. When I recovered my senses back I saw enormous footprints that were leading to a mountain.

100 Word Challenge Ishika

I staggered back and forth, side to side, struggling to stay on my feet, as the wind shoved and tugged at me fiercely, hunting me like a beast. My heart was beating incredibly fast and banging against my ribs. I held on to the side railings, desperately trying not to fly of the bridge. Something moved in the passage  of me. Something quick and scuttling like a rat. Suddenly a gush of wind pushed me off the bridge. I tried to hold on with my hand. Just as my fingers were slipping off the railing, something caught my hand...

BISB 100 Word Challenge Ishika

Jane was messing up big time. She was late for work; she had missed the bus and was taking a shortcut that she had never taken before. It had been her dream ever since she was a kid to work for the greatest designer in Paris; Mirabelle Posh but not like this. Was this the designer's house? The gate creaked open as Jane pushed it. Just then an old woman with her hair tied up in a bun opened the door and shouted in a hoarse voice “How many times do I have to tell you people I am MIRABELLA Posh, WRONG HOUSE!” How could this day get any worse?

Danger above and danger below

June glanced behind her, desperate for breath. But she couldn’t go up. Not yet. She was an excellent swimmer and she knew she could stay for longer. Probably 30 seconds more. And then it would be the end. Suddenly, she sensed danger in the water. Then she saw it-a massive shark.  As soon she got up, she would have to hide. But where? She swam a powerful breaststroke, up towards the surface. Just then, a perfect hiding-place caught her eye. The recycling bins. Hopefully, one of them would be empty. However, a rough hand grabbed her neck. She was trapped

A normal dream on my birthday!

‘I’m gonna spend this summer in the best way possible!!!’ I shouted, down the hallway. Suddenly, all the room doors opened, and – wait for it – a polar bear rushed out, followed by other black ones, while messing up our most expensive carpet. ‘AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!’ I screamed. Suddenly the scene changed. I was having a nice cup o’ tea with a gorilla! And, I was on a normal, usual flying carpet! And again the scene changed! But this time I woke up. I looked at my calendar. It was my birthday. That explains the dream. I have it every year on my birthday. Just a normal dream!
